Based on Gartner's projections, worldwide IT spending in 2008 will surpass $3.4 trillion, an increase of 8% since 2007.
Despite recent economic downturn and threat of recession, it seems that the Information Technology industry will escape unscathed.
The highest increases were in software and update spending which analysts say should increase by 10% this year.
