Kaplan University is one of the few regionally accredited online universities to offer life experience credit. Since most Kaplan University students already have previous experience in their field, most degree-seeking students can get ahead by having this experience recognized as credit.

Life Experience credit can be in the form of:
1. Past college courses or a previously earned Associate's degree

Cisco's Top IT Mistakes

Cisco Systems, Inc. conducted a study of over 2,000 information technology employees. The study surveyed IT professionals in 10 different countries in order to uncover the top 10 list of behaviors that contribute to data loss.

The study found that changing security settings on computers, using of unauthorized applications and unauthorized network facility access contributed to data loss.

Reasons for loss of network security included sharing sensitive corporate information with outsiders and sharing corporate devices.

Cisco also offered solutions for preventing network security and data loss. They recommend educating employees about the connection between data loss and money earned or lost as well as where data and backups are stored.
