The Higher Education Opportunity Act

The New York Times published an article discussing some of the changes that will take effect with the passing of the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HR 4137).

The most noticeable changes are:

1. The FAFSA will be available in a simpler, two page format
2. Pell Grants will be available year round, not just in the Fall and Spring semesters
3. Textbook bundles must be available in separate parts

These changes will save most students (including me) valuable time and money!
