National Firefighter Health Week Podcast: Behavioral Health
National Firefighter Health Week aims to promote overall health for fire and emergency service personnel. This podcast focuses on the psychological and behavioral health of firefighters and first responders who witness traumatic events in the field. Listen to the Behavioral Health Podcast here.
It’s National Firefighter Health Week!

August 16-20th is National Firefighter Health Week. This is a weeklong initiative to educate fire and emergency service professionals, as well as the community, about safety issues first responders face.
This year’s theme is “Only You Can Keep It Strong. Are You Up For The Challenge?”
Each day of National Firefighter Health Week is dedicated to a different health issue firefighters and emergency service personnel face:
Monday August 16th is Head Strong (Behavioral Health)
Tuesday August 17th is Respond Strong – Put it On (Protective Equipment)
Wednesday August 18th is Strong at Heart (Heart Health)
Thursday August 19th is Stand Strong Against Cancer (Cancer)
Friday August 20th is Strength for Life (Nutrition & Physical Fitness)

Kaplan Continuing Education at SEAFC 82nd Annual Leadership Conference
Kaplan Continuing Education (KCE) will be at the Southeastern Association of Fire Chiefs’ (SEAFC) 82nd Annual Leadership Conference on June 24th-25th, 2010 in Louisville, KY.
